Pomfret Connecticut Postcard Archive –

This represents nearly all of the unique images in my archive. I own about a fifth of the original postcards in the archive while the others were taken from the town’s historical archives and online auctions. If you own any postcard from the town of Pomfret, Connecticut please provide me with the best file(s) you can so I may add them to the archive.

Sugarbush –

I coordinate the sugaring activities on the Bennington College campus at the beginning of every spring term.
We tap trees, collect sap and boil sap until it has a high enough concentration of sugar that it can be considered syrup. Lastly, we bottle it.

Too funny! I graduated from Bennington in the early 1990s, and I now own a house in Pomfret, at Abington Four Corners. Your postcard collection is quite nice. I didn’t recognize The Four Corners in any of them, but thought I’d check with you. Regards, Alumnus ’91
